Thursday, Sep. 29th

In order for Swimming to be a success we are still requiring more volunteers to help us out. Thank you to everyone who has come in to school get the volunteer clearance started, I am hoping these clearances will come through in time. If any cleared volunteers are able to volunteer for other classes it would be appreciated. Please check out the Sign up Genius link to sign up.

Reminder tomorrow there is no school because it is Orange Shirt Day (Truth and Reconciliation).

We read the story "Shi-Shi-Etko." This story is about Shi-Ski-Etko, about an Indigenous girl before she went to residential school, and her memory bag that she made. We drew our memory bags and we are writing about why we chose some items to put inside our bags.

In science, we put a magnet under a piece of paper and spread some iron filing on top of the paper to reveal its magnetic field.

In art we will be using paint of primary colors and mixing it to make secondary colors. This time, we will not be using paintbrushes, but magnets instead!

In math we practice some patterns using numbers.

In Spanish we are reviewing how to make and read syllabels in Spanish and learning vocabulary about parts of the body.
